I have a 288xp and was wondering if anyone knows of some replacement felling dawgs that are taller on top (stick up more) than the OE ones. The top of my dawgs are flush with the bar and it makes it very hard to dawg in on a top cut. The bottom on them is great.

My Stihl has great spikes on it and would like the same treatment on my husky.

This is not my saw but the pic shows what I am talking about so you can get an idea.husky dawgs.jpg

A member here (Metals406) makes better spikes, though I'm unsure if he makes them for your saw.

Here's the old girl with a set of his spikes.

He hasn't got those patterned yet. There is pro safety ones that are larger than those. That's pretty much the only other choice besides making your own.

those look pretty small on top too. It doesn't look like they would be that much better from the pic.
