My 288 has the 4 rear spring a/v mounts and i'm debating replacing them with 4 rubber ones:confused2:. Has anyone ran both a/v mounts? I sure don't want it to run any rougher, it;s the only thing i don't like about the saw. will it with the rubber ones? also the spring a/v on this is not like the newer a/v systems of the 3 series saws and it really moves around alot. Anyone got a part number for the spring a/v?

I'm sure opinions will vary, but I hate the spring mounts in 288's!!

I always change them to rubber mounts if I'm going to run them. Too much movement with the springs. They just feel "floppy" to me.:msp_thumbdn:

Replaced the springs with rubber on mine.Maybe a little smoother but as JockeyDude says not as "Floppy". A lot better handling.

Thanks guys. Also for those in my shoes it looks like the spring a/v mounts for the 288 are the same as the smaller one on the rear of a 262xp???
