I have an 036 and routinely smoke my buddy who has a 661 that's ported.

It's probably my muffler mod and the fact that he uses stihl ultra while I use yamalube. I was new here but after I read the oil thread I switched oils and went from newb firewood guy to logger in one thread!

I like these threads because you know from the start what kind of thread it is going to be. It is when a new guy makes a thread looking for advice on which saw to buy (and yes the "which saw should I buy" threads get old but still) that turns into a brand war pissing match every single time that I find detrimental and pointless.

Anyhow, we all know the 362cm is the GOAT. The 661 is just a wannabe. And the 590 with a muffler mod can take out any saw (ported included) not named 362cm. I have personally never used any of these saws but I am an AS member; therefore, I am qualified to provide expert advice.
