If you have not purchased the 365 yet take it from someone that buys a lot of saw's and go with the 372. If you ever fall on hard times just having the 372 model will have a much higher resale value than the 365.

It does cost around $200 more so it should have a higher resale value. I doubt he'd be able to sell it for $200 more than a used 365xt a couple years from now.

Kind of disappointed I feel cheated....when I got the 372xt I thought the 365 was smaller 48mm bore like the older 365...I'm glad I got a good deal on the xt it softens the blow a little.Im guessing a restrictor plate in the intake or smaller carb is the only difference...along with 200.00 and a set of decals.

I called a local husky dealer today, asking him for a price for the 365 and he said $640 for one w/18" bar. I then asked him if he knew anything about the new 365's being the same cc as the 372 and he acted like i was crazy..... Then wen into the shpeal about the "65" in the 365 means its 65cc. This dealer sells a good amount of Stihls and Husky's to loggers, so i would assume he was up on that info... guess not.

The prevalence of incorrect specs on the 365x-torq is incredible.

Not a single ebay listing had it correct, not even the ones who actually call them x-torq's.

As someone mentioned earlier, Bailey's has old info, and it was a major project to find the correct specs on the Husky website.

Well anyway, too late for me, the trigger has been pulled on the 365.

So looking ahead, what percentage of shops does anyone think have the knowledge and willingness to perform the 372 conversion on the 365?

About a month ago I wanted a 365 when I found out they were still making and supposedly a 13 pound saw and wanted one bad

Either one I was going to get off of ebay, the 365 was $535, called dealers and said they were still 65 cc and weight was 14.1 pounds(so dream of the 13lb 365 was crushed!), I figured at that weight I wanted the 70 cc's and settled on the 372xp @ $740 to my door. To me, $200 is no big deal in the end. People will think nothing to throw away an extra $2000 on stupid accessories when buying a new vehicle or spend $100 at the bar one night, but god forbid spend an extra $100 to 200 on a saw... which will bring all that back when or if you ever resell...

The 365 ebay seller seemed a bit flaky and didn't communicate well, no returns and was nervous as to what may show up as it seemed almost too cheap at $535 to my door. If I had known the 365 was a 70 cc I would have bought it instead. The 372 xp is more than needed and the 365 I am sure would have been great but 372 is a fun screamer

Anyway, The new manual for the 365/372xp manual I can verify they list both at 14.1 pound, both 70.7 cc, 365 Hp = 4.9, 372xp Hp =5.6

Wish Husqvarna would get their act together on their website, ect on updates. They screwed up my decision making process

The 365XT delivers! It has great power and torque. I owned an old edition 372xp and my new 365xt keeps up with it easy. Hands down, the best value in a 70cc class saw and don't worry about resale value as I can't imagine you will ever want to sell it :highfive:

It is a little heavier and I use mine for the bigger firewood rounds. I don't mind the weight for MY applications.

And they still hide it(365) on the website. I quite frankly don't see the point of the 570 anymore? anyone agree?

Being that the 365 seems like the bargain, well I wonder if there will be some price changes in the future...

I never seen the point of the 575 and 576xp when the 372xpw was out....

I called the nearest husky dealer and asked for a price on a 365 x torque and he says no such thing all he shows are a 365xp is that the same? I asked him to check with his husky rep and call me back never got a call yet.

There has never been a 365xp. It has always been 365 or 365 "special"..................until now. When I bought my 365X-Torq, the dealer did not realize it was a new model as he did not normally carry the 365. Some dealers just don't keep up with all the details. I certainly don't mean to offend anyone here or imply anything about dealers in general. There are a few on this sight and they are on-top of things, just that there are some who are not.

I kind of agree with this. Thats why I bought a used one. (2065) One of this sites reputable members had a like new 365 in the classifieds at a Stihl of a price.

The only difference between a 365xt and a 372xt is the transfer port covers on the 365 have a restrictor in them. Remove the covers and grind out the restrictor and you got yourself an inexpensive 372xt now. The displacement is exactly the same between both saws.

What he said.. I have a set of covers from a 2172 on the bench and they are basically a thin cover, no restictions, whereas a cover from a 2166 (365xt) is much thicker and protrudes into the transfer ports quite a bit.
