I have 2 older gb bars that are 404 .050 gauge. I can only find 404 .063 for the 404 pitch. Anyone make it anymore?
Yes many companies made .404 .50 chain. You need to look at info from 1960's and 1970'sIs .404 chain in .50 gauge something that actually existed? Are you sure it's not .058 gauge?
I just spent a few months looking for 404 chain in 058 guage. It's no longer made, i finally found some new old inventory chains on Ebay.
I emailed Oregon, they only make 404 chain in 063 and 080 gauge now.
Don’t know who made my 404....050
Really.....didn’t know who. But Jerry will know.....Even Stihl sold .404 in .050 ga, both chipper and chisel.

I got to dig thru a lot of chain but I know I have some.
Got any left? Its either that or i swap the saw to a 3/8. the bars are non rollers so I can use the 3/8 chain on itWell Unc I bought full boxes and reels of it for my big saws, I was still running .404 chain until around 2010, then started to run a few smaller frame saws that ran 3/8" better.

true, but old stuff is still cool. Just was hoping to not change it to 3/8Like so many things... many options from years ago are now obsolete.
I think I have 105 drives of .050 - .404 chain skip tooth. If interested let me know and I will check to see if I have itI have 2 older gb bars that are 404 .050 gauge. I can only find 404 .063 for the 404 pitch. Anyone make it anymore?

I believe I have about 100 loops of .404 .063 Stihl RS for Stihl 36" bars hanging in the shop. 114 drive links I think. Most have never been sharpened. These chains are from the 1990's.

Lmfao dont worry about itThere may still be some short lengths that did not get made into loops but it would be buried under 4-5 feet of obsolete other chainsaw parts.
