The 65/77 saws where the first real logger friendly saws made by HVA.
I still think it is the best saw they made then, since it was a bit ahead of time. I have both and has run the 65 a great deal when I was younger.
The first saw I ever ran was a HVA 180s, then 163, 65, Jonny 52 and just before I got a place of my own i ran a HVA 44 Praktica quite a bit.

It was released winter 1965, I think and discontinued 1972.
A, B, G, E, L, models was made.

A was first.
E was conciddered a farmer version 1970.
G had some different cylinder.
1968-1971 cut off saws where made for the Sweden Rescue force.
Clearing saws where made in the same period.
There was on request a soil drill for planting made for the Finland market.
It was sold to Tomos Juguslavia.

I wont steer you away from the 359, in fact, I suggest you send it to EHP, and have him port it if you desire more HP down the road.

Yes, a very, very important tip for a guy that uses his saw a couple of hours a year.

455 rancher

I just bought a 455. It does have an adjustable oiler. Its on the bottom and is adjusted with a screw. All in all this seems like a very well built saw. It runs and idles well, and compared to the other saws I have run it cuts great.
