We have been using a five to one fiddle block quite a bit. It has been quite helpful, however, we are losing a lot of our advantage to friction when it twists and the rope rubs. We are using a klemheist to attach to our bull rope. I have tried a French prusik in the past, but it seemed even worse. Is the twist inherent or are we doing something wrong?

Thanks

It is double braid. I've been told it may have some memory just from the manufacturing process. How do I get rid of that memory? Feed the rope lots of vodka?
