Has it been tampered with? The door is supposed to have a 25 year warranty I thought. I would be a little leary, and inspect it really well before putting forth any money, as I would with anything I suppose, but it sounds a little fishy.

$5000 maybe worth the roll of the dice, I'd be looking at new for what they're asking though.

absolutely look at a new one there will be a full warranty and you know what your getting into plus there doing great deals now that summer is coming check out www.biomassdirect.com its what i have what a great unit very happy with mine been burning since oct 1st untill now prob went through 6 cords and only cleaned out firebox twice and they have knowlegdgeable sales staff to help out with your application!!!
