Want to Buy 61 (or the other two hundred series) Top Cover

Hey I have a new 61 project coming! I am not picky, but I would prefer a grey husqvarna 61 top cover....but a 266 top cover would work as well for this project too.

Hey I have a new 61 project coming! I am not picky, but I would prefer a grey husqvarna 61 top cover....But any of the other 200 series (66,266, 268) "two piece ignition" top cover will work as well, just looking to run the two screw air filter so that means the early white top is out.

Do you have a specific part number for the orange? I might have one I could let go of, but I'd have to check.

Here are some of the orange 266 top cover part numbers before they switched to the one piece ignition and moved the top left mounting screw on the top cover. If I can't find this 266 with the earlier screw mount position, I might have to look into drilling and taping the case for the slightly different top left mount screw that is on the later saws and the 268 and 272 saws. I would prefer the early two piece style ignition top cover mounting, but I included the later orange tops with the one piece style mounting hole position. Just an fyi to help you know what you have.

266 top cover - 501 68 60-01

266 top cover - 501 68 60-63

266 top cover - 501 68 60-08

Here are the part numbers for the later orange top covers with the one piece ignition style mounting. These are the

268 top cover - 503 40 60-02

268 top cover - 503 40 60-01

268 top cover - 503 57 95-02

272 top cover - same as the 268 numbers

Late 61 orange top cover - 501 68 60-07

Late 61 orange top cover - 501 68 60-04

Keep in mind some of the covers aren’t interchangeable due to cover screws in different locations.

@Northerner - That is correct! Thank you. The only ones that don't enterchange because of the mounting holes are the one piece ignition to the two piece, or vice versa.

Hard to say, I went through the IPL's and didn't see anything definitive. If you send me a picture of the outside of the cover I can tell you if it's an early or mid style white top. You can put it here or text me the pic. 512-777-9436

That is a decent white top for the early 61 that uses the single screw air filter. Looks like someone modified the top where the Practica sticker is, not sure the reason, maybe airflow to the filter.

I was looking for one that would take the two screw airfilter but this one is a little nicer than my current white top. Are you wanting to sell?
