If anybody recently purchased a stihl 660 full wrap lately, theyll notice the new 3/4 wrap handle that continues to extend lower around the clutch, similar to a 440/460. Has anyone noticed this and when did this happen.

do you have any pics?

ive noticed theyres a few difrents curves in the 3/4 wrapped stihls

Im going to try to post one, the video is on youtube by typing "stihl 660" and its the stock 660 test part I,II, or III on the first page, kind of interesting, have the saw here and dont really care for it

There's a longer straight piece of the handle now, more of a tradional full wrap. The others allowed you to lock your hand and wrist in a different position from the left side. It allowed a sawyer to lock his elbow up more in the back cut from that side. That curve is almost useless now. I think it looks like your hand is too low on the saw now in that curve, maybe not.

didn't the 441 wrap start this trend? i noticed on the 441 wraps they're a tad longer clutch side.
