The makita version is blue, and goes VROOOOOOOOOMMMMM VROOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM and can usually be purchased for about $200 less than the dolmar version.
I had one, it was fun, but just never put it to enough use, sold it to another board member, who sold it on.

Its a very strong reliable sawmaybe a tad heavy but its meant for thi bigger bars not for limming.

90 cc, 6.9 BHP, 4.9 kw., PHO weight 17.4 lbs uses a D009 bar mount
Have sold quite a lot of this model and have been a great saw. But it is a dated design from the early 90's and hopefully soon we might see a new 90 & 100 cc versions soon

Any real rumors in regard to a new big dolmar or just wishful thinking?

The motor on the 7900 is so amazing to run that the thought of a bigger one is interesting. From what I've heard although the 9010 is a good saw, it's very heavy and not as smooth as the 7900.
