Need a saw with a little more grunt than my 461. I don't need no shelf queen, just a plain jane work saw. Saw will wear a 28 inch bar most of its life. Budget is $500-700. thanks!

I've thought about it....but I'm having a CAD flare-up
In that case I have a 660, higher than you are wanting to spend, but what the heck, the CAD made you do it

My ported 460 pulls a 36" bar without much trouble. I'm sure if I did "200lb Gorilla" to it I could stall the chain, but I could probably do that to any saw.
I had a 660 and I wasn't overly impress with the power compared to a worked over 460. Especially when factoring the extra weight, fuel usage and cost.
