Our scheduling system is really working out well. But I still have gotten a few days behind.

Right now I'm about 4 days behind on saws........but a week behind on shipping.

These 12 saws are all ported.......but need to be run in wood, packaged, and shipped.

Yeah.....I know he does. His, Jason's, and two other 346s are done and ready for testing.

Jon's dad had a water line blow apart somewhere in the middle of a 1000 ft supply line. He's been gone to help fix that mess. He'd probably smack me around if I tested these saws without him. :laugh:
 
This line is about 6' deep.......and the water is following the underground rock out to the ditch line. No telling where the leak is really.

I figure a new line is in order......but his dad can't really afford that.
 
You could have some friends over. They could bring some wood, pay for the fuel to run in the saws then fondle ... um... wipe down/clean and drain the saw making it ready to ship.
Some of us are even qualified to lick stamps!!!

Put the attack hound at the shop door to keep us out so you can work.

God Bless Him!! It is hard enough to track down a crack in a 6 inch fuel line.

And when we are done there we could go over and patch Jon's dads water line.:clap:

Not much of a shovel operator though.

a friend of mine rented a small trencher for 100 bucks, noon friday till sunday night..........that and big roll of black poly and a young dude with a shovel........

That's how we did mine. It's over 600' long.

This one goes thru a field that will be turned from time to time. A small trencher probably won't go deep enough. :(

Take a solid rod, like a ground rod or something about 5/8" dia.
Stab it into the ground along the pipe run. When you hit soggy soil the rod goes in easier.

How much rock was thrown back into the trench when the line was put in?

An old man said to put your ear to the rod to hear the leak. I can't hear the small ones so i don't listen for them.
The one i could hear was where my shoes got wet.

Run a bottom plow along the pipe run you may get some wet soil and the water may show itself in the trench left by the plow.
With my luck i would sink the tractor in soggy soil.
A subsoiler shank would work too.

Awesome! When are you scheduling new work on the system? January? I've got a question - is it better to send in a whole saw for you to disassemble and work on and put back together, or easier to just send you the cylinder and muffler and a new meteor piston? Sounds like you run the saws in wood after a port job to tune the carb? Or is there some other reason to send the whole saw to you?
 
I'm gonna be scheduling a couple of weeks in April........then skip a couple.

I won't do a saw unless I have the whole unit.
