First off not the best video. My senses were distorted too much and I honestly did not want to get aggressive in the cut. I had no idea what the #### I was doing. Serious stuff I handled today. The saw sounded, acted, and felt like a different animal. It's hard to describe. But I knew it was NO JOKE. I used a paper bag and cut a copy of the stock gasket @ .004 and coated it with a copper sealant. I pushed on it some once I dogged it. Half baked chain I suppose after trying to figure out how to do it safely.

The snaps sound insane coming out of the muffler. I can only hope I get to take it to a GTG and let someone who knows what they are doing handle it...

It's running the .325 8pin so I know a 7 will be a breeze. I'm going to change the set up with the 510 and try the 3/8". Its a spur drum though, not sure what that means performance wise.

The best I could do and where the business leaves the joint.

Time for a ride in the NOVA

yo, I honestly don't have a clue about chains or for that matter being a sawyer. On the plunge cut, I had no idea what to do even after cutting several rounds. I was indecisive like a mean greenhorn. My senses being distorted didn't help at all.

It's round ground and I used a 7/16" file to re-cut the cutters. I believe the rakers are set even with the raker filing jig.

Slinger, I can't believe the difference in it's attitude. Night and day. Everything is accelerated. It's doesn't "drop a gear" like it used to, now it just goes the instant throttle is given.

The sound is insane and the tach stopped reading at 10,400. Not sure what that is all about. Because it doesn't sound like it's running that rpm.

I also didn't have a polish wheel that would fit inside the port near the cylinder wall.

Cheech, the saw's sounding mean bro!

Check that chain (as I believe you mentioned anyway), looks like it was dull, and really making dust... Either that or the wood you were cutting was actually a piece of 12" well casing! LOL

CW, I know. My chain skills suck. So does my cutting skills.

The exhuast is not free porting.

Tocayo, it's crazy man, I don't even know what to think other than to look across the canyon right now and ponder how much I've learned.

Mark, no worries bro. You know I value your opinions and suggestions.

I used an abrasive sponge like material with the dremel.

I could not reach towards the back near the cylnder wall port. So that's why wiggles thought it was a free port I think.

I want to invest in a foredom, but the cash is tight right now. I know that tool will allow me to port more correctly.

Striper, I have plans for a routered port this mid summer. I found an extra jug for the homelite 45cc. I just need some time to finish the 6401.
