I am restoring a 440 and am repainting the case halves. I have some Aluminiumized heavy duty, brush on nastymarine coating, so I painted the case with this knowing that I have to cans of oem stilh grey ordered, so if It looks bad, just sand it and paint over it. I am leaving the covers and the rest stock colors. The It said it reflects heat on the can as silver paint would, so my question is this a good thing for a crank case or a bad thing? It also has a temp max of 400F

Probably run a little warmer than without any paint at all, but not so much to worry. That would be my guess.

I imagine someone here has taken infrared gun temp readings before and after painting a saw.
