Well off to Australia tonight - so there may be a rather serious lack of posting from me. Not that anyone'll suffer I'm sure... But I will return!

So it's the coldest winter on record, been -7C at night most nights at our place - Sourthern Highlands NSW (that's not normal). So They'll be a fair amount of firewood cutting needed (only wood heating, water is solar/wood) but the 600 acres of bush the house sits in is a willing provider of HARD wood. No comp either either so if I need advice it's off to town and onto AS.

Anyway, wish me luck with the 056 in the baggage!

I would've thought -7* is pretty normal for there, it's always been frigging freezing when i've been to Bowral, Berrima or thereabouts :greenchainsaw:

Having said that it's been damned cold here today. Been to Ellerston and back and I don't think the temp went above 8* all day, and the wind has been frigid, it really feels like it's blowing off snow.
