Advise needed on a new Stihl 290

Well I got it. Also got a 6 pack of stihl ultra, a 1 gallon jug of bar/chain lube. and an extra loop of yellow chain. Took it out and did some cutting as soon as I got home and wow, It cuts great. Cant wait till its broken in and has its full power.

Me too. The manual says 5-15 tanks to be broken in. I thought I could do that in a day but this saw is way more efficient than my old Poulan 2300 so I only used a bit over a gallon in two days but it was feeling stronger already. Dial in your oiler. When I got my saw it was turned all the way down and wasn't oiling enough.
