Looks like Home deep is going to sell a used 25 tone vertical/horizontal log splitter Model # LS401116MTA for around $670.00.

Here are some of the specs

8 H.P Honda engine
Two stage 26gpm pump
4-1/2 in. diameter x 24 in stroke
Cycle time 12 sec
Beam size 6 in. X 6 in

Has anyone used one for and what did you think... Pros/Cons.

Is that a good price? or should I move on

I just want to make my 036 pro a good friend to play and work with. :help:

Thanks all

Sounds like a good price.

Just know the machine limits. How many cords are you planning on doing a year. 50-100??? Then you might want to keep looking.

If just for yourself, doesn't sound like a bad deal as long as you get a warranty and try and find out why it was returned.

Was kicked around here a little while back. Not sure of the outcome.

where is this store?

Cause while you are here asking silly questions.. Someone needs to be buying that splitter. If I knew where close to north and south was.. It would be me.. heck of a deal better than half price.
Pump and engine are worth that.

If it's in good shape and has been well maintained I'd say go for it. The Honda engine is a plus but I've never had any trouble with Briggs engines.

It wouldn't hurt to try and make them a lower offer either. All they can say is no.

congrats.. Nice buy

You can not even come close to piecing one of these together for that kind of money..
