Sycamore and sweet gum. Both are near maximum suckage on splitting. Both split easier once the rounds are really dried out a lot, all the way to loose bark if you can wait that long.

I do both by hand, but I am patient with them, I have enough wood I can wait until they are really dried and showing a lot of cracks. Even then, still sorta sucks. doable, but sucks.

I'd say elm. American/White/slippery Here is a piece I split. Sure looks the same to me
