Affordable but poor design. The winch is underpowered, the incoming chute and splitter are not on the same angle so after cutting a round it doesn’t fall down into the splitting area very well and gets hung up on the splitting ram.
The wedge is vertical with this wing on the top that gets jammed up more than it’s worth and shears the wood more than splits it. Then the wood gets pushed up the chute but slides back down to a ledge that holds those pieces until the next split goes through. Its rated at 16” wide, but don’t try anything a c-hair wider or else!

I was considering one a couple years ago. I ended up getting a Wolfe ridge splitter.

I've bid on a couple at auctions but was just planning on reselling them. I never did think they were a step up from much. I like my processor but I've redid a few things on it. I don't use it much but it is nice to sit down and run wood.

My buddy bought a used Blacks Creek 1500 and after I made a few improvements I really like it. He wasn't sure about buying it but I talked him into it, now he loves it.
