i moved into a house that has a green apple tree and i would love to keep it up the apples ae growing but they all have little black holes in them from bugs im assuming do you know what i can do to keep those away and when the apples get bigger will those holes harm the whole apple.

In most cases, apple trees need to be sprayed to protect them from insect and fungus problems, if you want problem free apples.

There are products you can find at the garden center that you mix with water and apply about once a month. Ortho makes a all in one mix, that has both insecticide and fungicide. Because apple trees are small, a hose end sprayer works fine.

By the time you trim your tree every year, and spray it repeatedly, you might just start buying apples at the store.
