Hello my name Millie.
A few weeks ago a bad storm in my area blew down our beautiful ornamental crab apple tree. She was so beautiful in the Spring with her lovely purple-pink flowers.
We want to put another tree in the the spot. I would like to plant an apple tree. I've heard many apple trees are prone to scab?
What would be the best kind of apple tree to plant. It will be on our front lawn in front of the house by the walkway.
Not far away is a 30 foot Blue Spruce, so I would want an apple tree that's a good size but not too big to interfear with the Blue Spruce.
Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
