Mine is 10, on at 170 off at 180. Will heat the house fine at 160 to 170 but the side arm heats water a lot faster at the higher setting.

Butch mine is at 10 degrees also, can you program a Woodmaster to turn on at 160 and turn off at say, 180, or does it always have to stay at 10 degrees difference?

It seems like the fan and solenoid would last longer with less cycling.

Also do you think my stove would be more efficient at 180 than 170? I have no hot water issues because I have a plate exchanger for my water

I would guess that would all depend on your aquastat. On my old OWB, the aquastat had a little white dial under the main dial that would allow you to set the differential. On my new Indoor boiler there is no white dial. It always has a 10 deg differential.
