Arborvites falling over

My 8-9 ft. Arborvites branches have spread apart and are falling over. I took one of them and secured with some rope.

Is there anything wrong? There wasn't much snow this year in the Boston area, but I installed a cedar fence near them. There are two of them side by side, which are doing the same thing.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That can be normal, especially if they have multiple stems as they usually do. Just tie them together as you did...only trim the tops if you need to maintain a certain height.

Perhaps they're mourning the loss of their fallen brothers.
