For those of you that are close to a Menard's store, you might check it out. Here, the bar and chain oil is on sale for $5 a gallon. That is the best price that I have seen in a long time.

I think the only menards is like 90 miles from,,,, I feel a road trip coming on,, for that price I would get a truck load

That is a great deal and the oil is pretty good too. I stocked up on the last $5.00 deal. I think I have 20-25 gallons currently and I am not using it up as quick as I would like.

I'm up to 7 gallons i think.Most of mine came from Tractor supply for $7.00.The rest is Poulan i picked up at walmart.

Without starting the great oil debate, is there much difference in bar oils?

Nope.Summer blend is the norm but sometimes you can find winter blend.Bar oil is pretty much bar oil.

Good. I was hoping that it was not as "sensitive" of a subject as premix oil or ratios.

Black Friday weekend it was $5 at a rural king. Not sure how many of those are around but we got one fairly close. Looks like I need to stop off at menards.

The last time I bought chain / bar oil, it was at Walmart and it was $2.97 gal.
That was several years ago, and I bought 5 gals. It's Homelite brand.

I guess I will not ask on opinions between regular, premium, synthetic, canola or used motor oil.
