It could be detonation since it looks like it doesn't have a combustion chamber any more.

Have you ever read anything on squish velocity? Really with that large squish band you may be looking at flame travel issues and possible detonation from to high of a squish velocity.

How much did you cut out? 0.1"?

Ok, you guys are confusing me now. Who's saw are we talking about now? If your talking about my pic, I took out .035".

Yes. The flat squish area I don't think changed at all from machining. I usually cut the squish on a 2* taper, but I did flat this time.

It idles smooth and throttle response is great. I dis have it idling at around 3000 cause it was smooth there but with the 100ll its idle is around 2700 smooth. It also is noticibly cooler and shuts off nicely after a few long cuts.
