Can someone shed some light on the carburetors for the bg86 blower. I can't believe how many different part numbers there are for this blower. After swapping 4 used carbs tonight until I found one that still worked right I went on eBay to pick up a couple spares and there are all kinds of different numbers. Now one obvious difference is that some have the breather that goes into the air filter housing and some don't but other than that I don't see many obvious differences. Can I just pick any that matches the one I got and call it good? I have the one with the breather and I'm assuming that the numbers are changed as they try and work the bugs out.

Honestly I have no idea what carb originally came on the two blowers I am working on. They are mixes of used parts that I have gotten a lot of use out of but at this point all the spare carbs I have are done. It seems to me that if I just purchase the most current model I should get the best results however any model should work if I find a good deal on some NOS carbs.

Harley T how do you know all those part numbers you listed are for the bg 86? The last 4 numbers are all higher than the 0600 listed in the bulletin.

The 0607 is for the bg86, as is the 0610, 0600, and 0603.

So go with the 0607, looks like that is what they have superceded to.

So that would be the C1M s203, if that fits your blower.
