Cool videos Rick, Homelites sound great.
The Echo had a nice sound at idle.

Great vids Wildman!! I liked the way the Echo sounded the best, even with the bad B&C.

Hay did anyone catch sasquatch running buy in the background about 17 seconds into this video.lol:givebeer::givebeer:

I don't think it was sasquatch, but I do believe it was Thall chasing elvis. I could almost hear the tune playing in the distance! LOL! Great video wildman, let it RIP!

Keep the 1020!

Thanks for the vids Rick. Really fun to watch. Another vote here for keeping that 1020. A saw that runs that good shouldn't get passed on, especially since you pretty much created her from scratch. Just a warning, but I'll bet if you sold her, you'd be haunted with her memory for years to come :). Don't sell her :cry::cry: !!!!!!

Yea your right. I don't need to vet rid of it anyways... Just testing the water cause I want a 1100/1130 bad. Yea I'll keep the 1020 but I think the 1050 is gonna see the chopping block instead... I'm undecided yet.

The 1020 looks to be stronger than the 2100. Is that the case?

It does appear that way but a true comparison would be running both saws with the same bar and chain. They take the same bar so making the 4 minute swap is simple. I do it all the time at vintage races.

In any event the vids are good.

I'm thinking the same thing. That 2100 with a little tuning and a good chain instead of that junk chain will shine. Maybe the 1050 should be the saw on the chopping block

The 1020 is the saw that you put a lot of time, money, and energy into. If you got rid of it now you'd regret it in a few years. The saws I miss the most are the early big saws that I first built and learned on.

The chain on the 1020 was 100% better then the crap I had on the 2100. i was running whatever was on the 2100 when I got it. The engine felt very strong and no matter how hard i pulled it just would not dig in and pull chips. With some real chain it will show its strength over the 1020. My 1020 is very strong and i'm not to sure the 2100 would pull it by much though.

Yea you are right JJ. I know I would regret it if i got rid of it. Sometimes I don't think clear when I want something bad and will just sell something to get it. I've wanted a 1100/1130 bad for the past year and will do about anything to get one. I think i'll keep the 1020 for awhile. Any tips on how to get the oiler to hold a prime??? It gets annoying taking an hour to prime it before every use. Once its working it really works well though.

I wish my damn computer would sell and I would be all set. If anyone needs a nice tower I got one for a good price...I custom built it.

New Echo Videos

I put the 28" bar off my 925 on the echo today just so I could get it out and see it cut for real. If I continue to use this bar I'll need to get some 92 DL chains instead of the 91's i have....It's very tight under the clutch cover with the 8 pin on there. I'm running Oregon 72JGX (Full Chisel skip). Pulls pretty well for still being 1 1/8 out on the high speed.

Thin cookies

Hey Wildman, I'm really impressed at the consistently thin cookies. I can't make cuts that straight in the middle of a log and you're doing it for all to see. Part of the time it looks like you can see the bar through the wood. Your chain must be really evenly sharpened.

Thanks. It wasn't easy tryng to cut straight cause I actually have a hard time doing that. As for the chain that was a new chain that has not been sharpened yet so that probably helped.
