Hi everyone, back again, at the moment im in the middle of clearing an orchard which is overgrown with blakthorn trees and brambles inter woven with the hawthorn,any advice which is the easiest method to clear this mess ? The job is abt 1.5 acres, and dont say burn it because its a no no, wil be grateful for any advice
 
a lot of students just being released this wekk so you could hire 20 students with tough duck gloves, keep them pullin' as yer cuttin'. Order lots of beer for the finale!
 
I don't envy you. I spent a few days in early June working on a hedge that had 3 of those blackthorns in them, and we have one as an ornamental in our front garden that occasionally tries to get out of control. I just use a chainsaw and thick gloves. Even so, I had one put a thorn about 1/4" into my hand not too long ago.
