Blades for sawmill

I'm looking for a source of blades that will fit an older model Norwood. I need a 1 1/4" x 144" blade. There are bound to be aftermarket blades available rather than buying from Norwood.

I couldn't find a site for Coleman, so I used the macraes listing. You don't need to own a Woodmizer to order blades from them.

All these companies fabricate the blades to order. They will want to know the length, (12' in your case) width (1 1/4"), thickness (for small bandmills, usually either .035 or .042) and the pitch (again, for small mills usually either 3/4 or 7/8) you want, so have that info handy when you call.

I should also add that you'll be asked what brand you want, except of course at Woodmizer.
That is one of those person preferences, like Stihl vs. Husky vs. Jonsered.
I like Simmonds Red Steak, they give me the best performance for the maximum blade life.
I also like Munksforsagers, they are the only blade that cuts well right out of the box without the need to presharpen, but they break after just a few resharpenings.
Lennox are OK but don't last any longer than Munkeys.
Never used a Woodmizer blade.

I've had really good luck with Simmonds Red Steak, I get them from Cooks. They'll makw any length you need. Good people at Cooks, done business with them for 10 years.

I run Lenox Woodmaster blades. The only reason I uses these blades is U-Cut is right done the road from my house. I have no shipping cost for sharpening. Shipping/sharpening is a real cost in band saw milling. Good luck.
