Ive heard about
The Art and Science of Practical Rigging
and
The Tree Climber's Companion

Are these buying? Anything current that is recommended?

Tree climbers companion is a good one to have if you're new.
Good illustrations of lots of techniques, knots, etc..

I bought the Jerry Beranek working climber dvd's and they were real good.
They are a little pricy, 300$ for the set, but worth it.
