boxing trees for transplanting.

Were going to dig up some med. pepper trees and relocate them at a later time. I've watched the process of boxing them up while still the the hole and understand most of it but I can't figure out how to get the bottom on the box while its in the hole. I heard they dig under it or tilt it on its side. I can find little info on this. Any one who has some experience with this could you give me some pointers? Also we have a crane to lift them out but I'm not sure where one connects the straps. The tree, the box, under the box? Yeah I am an idiot when it comes to transplanting large trees. Really need some pics to see how big these are. I've only used burlap to ball trees and if I were going to use a crane or loader to pick them up I'd make a sling to go under the root ball, Joe.
