I am considering buying a class 8 material handling truck with a IMT articulating crane with approximately 34' of boom. I want to replace the forks with a grapple. What is the best style of grapple to buy? What size should I get? I have been looking at the Valby HD55 bypass and the Kinshofer grapple. The Kinshofer 58" is almost $5000 just for the grapple itself, and the Valby 55" is $1900 without a rotator. Does anyone know of any other grapple manufacturers? Thanks!

don't know if you can use their bucket or not? Try calling Petersen's parts dept and atleast check it out. 800-930-5623 (ext 231). Their buckets are definately way less than $5000. Check out their website on knuckleboom grapple trucks www.PetersenInd.com
