Ive got a lot of access to pine but havent been cutting it because ive heard it plugs up the chimney a lot more. How much more often should a stovepipe/chimney be cleaned if you are burning resinous wood??

All we have here is pine/fir to burn.
How often to clean the chimney depends on the stove (one with a catalytic combustor will burn cleaner), how it's burned (hot = cleaner, damped down = dirtier), and the chimney (cool chimney = deposits hence the use of insulated or triple wall chimney). I would run a brush through every month if burning full-time during the winter.

If you do a search on this subject, you will find tons of info. Just be carefull when using the "P" word around here. He He
In a nutshell, burn well seasoned wood, burn it fairly hot and develop a cleaning schedule for your chimney, they are slmost all different. I clean mine once a month or so, that is plenty safe just in case I get lazy.
