Cable winch line for my 250xp

Does anyone know or have an expert opinion on whether my 250xp winch can snap a cable line with 2400# maximum working load. I don't know how to figure out what the tensile strength of it is. The only thing I know is that it will break new england fly and it will not break my husky bull rope that has an 18000# tensile. I understand that rope winch line is the way to go but it is out of my price range for a month or so so I am shopping cheap temporary alternatives.

Just but some old 1/2 lowering line on it and be done already. It should take about 80' or so. Then, when you can, buy 200' of 5/16 Amsteal if you need the extra reach.
