Camellias

[The Flower Lady]

I have six camellias one to two years old. They are full of buds but have not opened. Most in my area bloomed last month. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I too had the same problem last year, but a little 'Osmocote' furtilizer worked wonders. Camelias like acid soil and once you've made the ammendment it will probably bloom for you. My Camelias this year went crazy with tons of huge blooms! The osmocote is also good for Gardenias, Giant Tree Furns, and a variety of other acid loving plants.
