Start with a new tree or seed. If you plant a new tree, be sure to plant it higher in the native soil than that one was planted. Every $5 tree deserves a $20 hole, not the other way around. If you have spinners (samaras) sprouting all over the yard, like I do, why not just transplant one where you want the new tree? If your yard is like mine, you have plenty to choose from in the flower gardens.
