Can you identify this tree?

Hi everyone. I recent found a very unusual looking tree in my yard and for the life of me cannot seem to identify it. Ive tried using various websites, apls and guides but it remains a mystery. It has a very nice looking smooth sandy brown bark. Ive attached a shot of the leaves. Help please!

Stewartia ran across my mind from the tint of redish, but it also reminds me of a over grown looks like tree but still VINE is Bitterweet vine? I dont know
