So, I tried to save a few bucks and ordered a Cant Hook/log lifter from Woodland direct. OMG what a mistake! I ordered the dam thing on the 19th of DEC and I email em yesterday to find out why I did not get a tracking number or any type of notice on the shipping and here is what they tell me.
"Thank you for shopping with Woodland Direct!
We are sorry to inform you that the log lifter on your recent order has been discontinued. Although we try our best to maintain inventory that is 100% accurate, there are rare occasions where we may run out of an item and are unable to obtain additional stock from the manufacturer"
well, at least they did refund my money after I filed a paypal dispute!
Sorry for the rant
anyway, my question is...they had this log lift for 79.00 but it was a no name.
I am looking at the woodchuck quad from baileys or the logrite 60" extreme duty cant hook. Obviously my attempt to save a few bucks backfired but I really need a cant hook that can turn logs 30 or more inches and thats what drew me to the cheapo listed above. (they claimed it would turn 30" logs.)
any opinions on the woodchuck or the logrite?
woodchuck spec says it can turn 24" logs. The logrite extreme seems like its more along the lines of what I am looking for but the woodchuck seems pretty cool
