Carb boring questions

When you carb borers out there bore out a chainsaw carb , do you replace the throttle and/or choke butterflies with a correspondingly larger butterfly ? Whaddya think about carefully peening and shapeing the origional butterfly to fit the larger bore ? On average , how many millimeters would you enlarge the bore ?

Sounds like you need a RONCO Butterfly Streching Tool :hmm3grin2orange: It would get pretty thin on the edges making it larger i would just cut out a new one from brass sheet of cut down a larger ready made one...Bob

I doubt that it would work very well, because of the physics involved.
