carb jred 351e

I rebuilt the carb on my 451e ,will start sometimes,or not the other nite tried to start ,gas was coming out the muffler,SO what did I do wrong,??I took apart everything looked ok???

Do you have metering diaphragm and gasket in right ordered? Gasket against carb then diaphragm
