carb mod help

i have a 371xp with a bb kit ported. The saw was runing to lean wide open. I'm trying to get the most rpm out of it that i can. The guy at the saw shop said that he had herd that if u put an extra gaket in on the metering side and bend metering arm up a little that u would get more gas reserve in the carb so it wouldn't lean out wide open. I tryed it and the saw just floods. I have the L side all the way in with the stops cut off. Is this something that works? Has any one tryed this? any info would be grate.

Fixed the problem. don't bend the metering lever to far.

still got double gaskets or just a single

He says it's running with two just needs to tune it.

it runs good. need to tune it. the low is a little off but its only out half a turn and wide open with the high all the way in it's not starving for gas
