Carpenter Bees. I have carpenter bees infesting a willow tree. Any ideas on how to handle them?

Also what is life expectancy of sweet gum tree? I live in Missouri and have 16 of these charming trees on my lot.

Over 100 years.

Sure they ar carpenter bees? They are solitary bees, not swarmers.

They mostly like deadwood, not live wood. So this would mean the willow may need an examination for risk of failure. Decay spreads fast in them.

What part of Missery iare you in? I know a few people in the area who may be able to help with evaluation.

If they are realy european honey bees, call a local bee keeper, they usualy come get a swarm for nothing
