I have made thousands of roadracing images. Took a long break, but I am back at it.

The following is an image that I made in 1992. Same rider, Colin Edwards II, in his first year as a pro. WERA Grand National Finals, Road Atlanta. The crazy thing is I just had this film processed 2 years ago. I had missplaced the roll and had it processed thinking it was made with the other rolls. It is grainy and slightly color shifted, but I am glad I have it!
Canon T90, FD100-300 f/5.6.

Thats a great shot of the "Texas Tornado" above and he is still 1 of my favorite riders today. I still love all forms of motorcycle racing but these days I shoot 90% MX because I have quite a few tracks close to my home.

Here's a couple more taken on my recent milling holiday. I posted similar ones over in the milling forum but just in case you don't go there here they are.

The saw's generating a fair bit of dust because the log slope is not quite steep enough to make chips.

Here's a close up.

A one finger push at this point makes turns dust into chips.

Is that saw milling all by itself and is that a Coopers in your right hand, perhaps a Stout?

You are correct on both counts -

This was taken during another recent milling holiday at Huds down on the south coast of Western Australia. Full thread here.

BTW my mining engineering brother uses that photo in safety briefings to his staff - to liven things up he collects photos of people doing dodgy things and plays "spot the OHS blunder".

I am a big Coopers fan and so is my host Hud.

This is Huds shed fridge - note reserve supply alongside fridge. As soon as you take a cold one from the fridge all guests are expected to restock as required.

That is one hell of a beer stash - hope the kidney dialysis machine is close by . Coopers is excellent. I really love their dark ale - 3rd shelf down, far left if I'm not mistaken
I'm just downing a Tooheys Extra Dry 5 Seeds cider, very nice drop after a 9 hour day.

Yeah don't mind the Dark ale at all!

Now that you have reminded I'll have to go open one. Too hot here to mill today. 100F, probably hotter in the yard. Doing a few yard jobs like tackling the rampant boganvillia that threatening to take over the shed and bits and pieces.

I recently bought a Stihl chain and was curious about the grind. I took these with a Sony H20.

I was trying to capture the silhouette of the wavy gullet. How would the end user ever recreate this?? I also noticed a little damage on a few of the cutters.
These were my first attempt at such close shots. I didn't really spend much time to improve results, but I had fun taking these. Maybe it's time for me to explore more settings on my camera! Critiques welcome.

Here is a couple I took with a cheap camera my wife handed down to me. This is Kade who came up from downstairs after getting a garbage can lid stuck on his head. The second is Yatt in the pampas grass in the backyard. I like the second pic.
