Just ran across this on this thing on Bailey's. Anyone have it or has anyone used it? It looks aweful handy to me, cutting smaller pieces for firewood always seems like the most dangerous thing i do with a chainsaw.

the chainsaw buddy is for bucking small stuff and not getting the chain in the dirt, but is not a substitute for experience and skill. its a neat idea, but I havent any use for it, I like my big saws like they are now.

I agree with Oldsaw - it looks like a neat idea on the surface, but I like the balance of my saws just the way they are. And I tend to keep the chain out of the dirt pretty well. It saves me the task of sharpening them as often...

I think if you cut up a lot of stuff on the ground, or perhaps cut branches up for firewood ... yeah get one.

But it's not for me, we cut for a chipper etc, so a few nips and tucks she's done!
:)
