My saw ran fine...easy start, took down a big old maple, cut it up just fine. Next day it started hard and took off at full rev. Touched the trigger and it died. Wouldn't restart. Plug was a silvery color. Changed the carb, plug, and ignition coil so far...no indication it's sparking at all. Kind of confused here...any thoughts or ideas? Thanks

Either running for a period of time lean and scored the exhaust side fully off the piston and wore the ring beyond compression ability- finally giving up the ghost.
Or developed a sudden massive air leak and did the same- only faster.
Or the old standby- straight gassed it.

Remove the muffler, take a photo of the piston as viewed through the now exposed exhaust port of the cylinder.
