Just off the phone with a dealer in search of 24" bar for my new saw. I am currently running a 32' .063 guage. New bar and chain will be .058 guage. Do I need to change my sprocket to make it work. All are 3/8 pitch.

I come meekly seeking advise.

Thanks

Nope. You're all set. Gauge doesn't matter on a sprocket.
But the sprocket condition does matter. I would go with a new 3/8 sprocket if installing a new bar and chain. Just my policy.

Sprocket replacement

This sprocket looks good. I'm only replacing the bar to go to a shorter length. The other one probably doesn't have two hours on it.
