Falling a crooked, gnarly black locust today. Had it guyed off to the pu but still not sure just where it would land. Undercut done, back cut just needed a bit of 'tuning' when the 361 coughed and died. I was _sure_ that I had just filled it the other day and only did a couple cuts. Would have taken a few seconds to check but nooooo... Fun thing to head back to the truck to refill with a tree that was wavering a bit in the wind.

It held until I got back, did the 'tuning' and went where I wanted.

Yep ! that's something you don't want to forget. Nothing like heading out away from the truck to have to make the trek back to it for some small thing.

Usually, I forget to carry a file and have to go back before the fuel or oil jug is empty. One of these days I'll find a pouch of some kind that will carry a quart of fuel , a quart of bar oil, spark plug, scrench, chain or 2 and files. That way I don't head back for a break till I'm out of something.

It seems as if I never run out of something important at a convienent time.
