If you pull the recoil, you will see the wires to the on/off switch are routed from the coil along the top of the flywheel shroud and then through the air box to the switch.

Thanks Theo. That's a big help.

Bent bolts are no bid deal. That's the least of my worries right now. It's all about the jug and piston at this point, but particularly, the jug.

Parris, I can't wait for the outcome also. I'm fired up about building this saw and comparing it to the Kita. Closed vs Open:clap:

It's cool. I'll figure it out. Does anyone know if there is an IPL in the beg for IPL thread?

Got these this morning. Not as good as my other Craftsman T handles for 7.99 + tax. Clearance item and the last one!

I'll be back later with pics. Time to turn into Dr. Frankenhusq:!

Dr. FrankenMak aint feeling to cool about it, but he's going to let this one slide:greenchainsaw:

I hosed this hoser down with air to get most of the grime off

Thanks Deuce. That will help a lot.

Mark, blend the very bottom sharp corner more with the port. Smooth those edges out so you wont do damage to the piston.

The piston looks real good. This thing was run super rich, as most tree services do I'm sure. At least that's what I hear most of the time, 4 stroking.

Strange angle on the exhaust port to flange. It's at an angle. There seems to be more meat on the left side (Side wall flange to exhaust bolt hole). If I remember another thread a member started recently, the ring pin is right in the middle of the port. And it's a single ring, so that's a good start for me.

Going to take off the jug next, just stopping for some grub.

you going to get rid of some of those chunks just waiting to fall in the bottom end before you pull the cylinder off

It's funny how people grow bigger balls after they become members of RS:hmm3grin2orange:

Al, I was wondering about the pin because I've seen pins on the outside edge of the skirts. Those must be tough to port, particularly the intake side because of the transfers. widening must be tricky so as to not interfere with the pins?

Dual rings, it's gets even trickier I would imagine.

Nah mate, hog it.

Rick, my OEM cyl is sitting on the shelf untouched which is what I do if I can get a cheap cyl to play with, so I haven't ported with a single ring piston.
So many people port a plenty on these, so I'd say you'll be OK.

Yeah I don't think I'm going to finish it for awhile, I'm not too worried about it.

No need.

I think your head grew a little too much though. LOL

:hmm3grin2orange: I knew you were going to say that!!!!!

Of course it did. Take a look at my avatar. The Husq is getting the same treatment.

Seeing how your sack didn't grow, in order for your head to grow, you should invest in some viagra:buttkick:

Taking off the cylinder today and will be back with some news.

Alright, cleaned up the best I could and ready for a tear down.
