Clutch Spring?

I am putting new springs in my 395 clutch just to replace them. Any special tricks? Also how often do they need to be replaced?

I don't change clutch springs until one is broke, or they slack out enough that the saw will spin the chain at idle. How long they last is a crap shoot.

I find vise-grips come in handy when changing clutch springs. A piston stop to if the clutch is still on the saw.

Sorry....had to try....don't know what a 395 clutch look like.....worked on my 385xp
